yeah so i am planning on heading up to baltimore on sunday or monday (27 or 28th) and stopping in western mass the next day. then getting to the rondy either tuesday or wednesday. i have a small truck so two would be a little cramped, but definitely doable. does this work for you? let me know asap. i had some people who were supposed to go and split gas, so i'm wondering how much yall have to throw down for that?

Got a place lined up to stay in Western MA? (assume that would be Monday or Tuesday night). If not, we could put you up.

sean,
are you saying that you would like a ride with me from the baltimore area? e-mail me at mkelley1987@gmail.com if so. i would like to talk to you a little more about my travel plans.
what's the deal with the person in western mass? bc my plan was to drive up from baltimore and stay a night in western mass (amherst) with my partner i haven't seen in awhile and then head to maine the day after that... if we could all somehow carpool together from western mass, that would be cool.

yeah, i didn't read that post very closely. yes, i would have a place to stay. but sean and friend might need somewhere b/c my partner lives with a bunch of people in a tiny tiny place. where are you in western mass? would i be able to drop them off for the night with you if i am in amherst or would that just be too crazy?

We're in Buckland (other side of the Connecticut River from Amherst and then up inot the hills). In terms of the overall length of the trip from the Baltimore area, not that far out of the way.
This will be easiest if I give you our email: stepbystepfarm (at no spam) mtdata.com
It's about 45 minutes driving between here and Amherst depending on time of day, etc. Not necessarily adding 90 minutes depending on how you plan the overall route*. But I assume you already know how you plan to get to Amherst.
We'll likely be away over the weekend to sit with a friend whose mother just died but back home by Monday.
We have beds for a few people, and then there's always floor space and camping gear.
* Example: In a car and so allowed to do this, from the end of the Garden State take the free Palisades Parkway crossing the Hudson at Bear Mt ($1 toll) instead of the Tappen Zee ($5 toll) then cut cross country to the free Taconic Parkway then near its end cross country to Pirrsfield and then Rt 9 to Windsor (top of hill) 8A till Rt 116 joins in and then in Plainfiled the main cross road to Hawley and down on our road to Buckland and our covered bridge. That's how WE would drive home from Philadelphia, etc. avoiding NYC traffic.
After dropping off riders continue down our road to Rt 112, south till it hits Rt 9, south on Rt 9 to Bridge Street, Damon Rd, back onto Rt 9 at the bridge and so to Amherst (stay on Rt 9 all the way its longer and you go through the center of Northhampton where pedestrians take their right of way over cars very seriously just like in Amherst).
Return here next morning but, this time when leaving turn left on Rt 112 to Rt 2 and pick up Interstate 91 in Greenfield. Were we going that's how we'd do it, up Rt 91 to around St Albans and then across to New hampshire and through the Whites to Maine. But hey, we used to hike up there.
